A bit disappointed. Although you can set the input as well as the output (good for setting a strumming comp volume as input and then howl away at the solo on output) I find that the distans between 0 and 50% on the pedal is all the same (doesn't matter if you have no volume at "all up" or half volume).
It's alright if you just have the two levels, but I like to "violin" my solos or chords some time. That's a bit difficult and unsensitive to find the spot where things start to happen.
When you have active any pedal that boost enough the signal passing through from this volume pedal (drive, overdrive, compressor) then you cannot be completely mute, there will be a slight sound. But when someone has clean sound the pedal works perfectly. I don't recommend this pedal to guitar players who use the volume pedals for fading in notes combined the delay.
Pro: solid construction, easy to use, knobs to adjust the min and max volume levels. Contra: I find the sensitivity a bit too high, that is, with a small shift of the pedal, the volume change is significant. This makes volume control a bit tricky.
Note: I power it with an external adapter, as it seems to eat up batteries
Functional pedal. I use it to set volume post distortion stage.
Setting max volume is useful it you run it in the loop of a non master-volume amp and want to use pre-amp distortion at lower volumes.
What the other reviews say about the sensitivity hump around the mid point is true, and takes some getting used to. Smooth volume swells are pretty tough with this pedal.
Great build quality, but does not cut off volume completely.

When I unboxed this pedal, I was surprised how sturdy and well built this pedal feels. It's a perfect product if you are looking for a solution to switch rhythm and lead guitar volume. The pedal has minimum and maximum volume knobs to dial in the difference in volume you want. However, this is not why I bought this pedal. I needed a volume pedal that completely mutes the guitar so I can do swells. With the minimum volume dialed all the way to 0, you can still hear the guitar very well. It's not an expensive pedal, so I'll keep this one to use what it's good for. Guess I have to buy a Boss FV-50H for my volume swells, cause I know tha pedal does just that.
This thing is grand but as other people have said there's not much variance in between on and off. If you want to do smooth sweeps or violony sounds you'll want something else.
If you're looking for something to kill your sound or just lower it a bit for some texture this will do fine
I bought this pedal for mainly to use it for playing "violin" sounds with my guitar.
I works very well for this purpose. It's very solid. Max and min volumes are adjustable. And it wasn't too expensive either. I've been using it in several gigs in the past three months and I can't find anything bad to say about it. Highly recommendable!
Basically, Violining is tricky due to none linear volume scale, but min and max level pots are very useful, and the build quality is very good for the price, to go between 2 levels of volume this pedal is perfect , violining is not easy with this but the pedal is built to last
Very gig worthy volume pedal, not owned for long but so far, so good!
Great solid construction
No problems with sound
A slight difference in sensitivity about half way up the pedal but it just takes some getting used to!
