The AudioFuse X8 allowed me to add 8 extra outputs to my system.
I have installed it in my live rack underneath my audio interface, connected via ADAT.
My only concern is the lack of consideration made by Arturia in relation to attaching the unit to a rack tray.
The only way to firmly secure the unit to a rack tray is by using the screwholes initially intended to hold the units rack system fixtures in place.
I attached the screws through the tray and into the unit, but the distance of these holes aren't universal by any means.
One i attached the rack ears (included with the product), there wasn't that much length on the ears to reach the rails of my 19" rack (accounting for the edges of the rack tray).
I understand that the rack system included by Arturia is intended to be used with the sibling AudioFuse product, however that is not applicable to me.
What I did was use cable tie around the rack ear and the screw-hole in the 19" rail to keep the unit in place on the tray.
Bought to drive surround speakers, was very easy to attach to my interface as an expander, sounded better and punchier than my old interface. Construction seemed very robust, and didn't take up to much space. Also came with a bunch of free software, which might be useful.
