Baton Rouge UTM-C Flamed Maple

Se consideriamo le caratteristiche di questo ukulele concerto, tutto in legno massello, allestito e rifinito ottimamente, è difficile trovare un concorrente presso le altre marche conosciute. Il Marchio Baton Rouge produce in Cina ma, evidentemente, le sue richieste qualitative al fabbricante sono elevate. Ho avuto per le mani diversi ukulele della marca e, anche i modelli entry level laminati, avevano sempre finiture ineccepibili. Alla ricezione ho subito sostituito le corde con delle fluorocarbon Martin (proprio non mi piacciono le Aquila) che ne esaltano la sonorità che risulta equilibrata. Buona proiezione e sustain. Tastera intonata e setting perfetto. Un dettaglio che conferma quanto sto dicendo: la tastiera ha un radius che si accentua gradualmente scendendo e questo è un elemento che facilita notevolmente l'esecuzione degli accordi. Assolutamente consigliato!

The ukulele is very beautiful and once I'd changed strings and lowered the action a bit, it plays really really well, with a rich sound.

It's really punching above it's price in looks and quality!

Why I don't give it a 5 for the price is because I specifically bought this for the arm rest. On the pictures it looks great, right? But in reality it's actually just an extension of the top, it's not angled or slanted down more than max 0,5-1mm. So if that's what you are after, consider another model maybe.

But if you're after a great sounding ukulele that's really a looker, then this is a great buy.
