I have mine mounted in a tilting 19" stand on casters fully populated with various modules of sizes from 2HP to 16HP.
It comes with a 13V power supply and a full complement of nuts on rails. It was a very simple task to install the modules and the rack itself. Everything fitted perfectly, there are no gaps between modules and all fit perfectly inside.
It comes with 2 ribbon power connectors with 10 slots each.
Pros: Economical
Sturdy
Fit and Finish are great
Power
Cons: None other than I will probably end up very poor because of them :)
Highly recommended and not a compromise on quality. Great product
Bought to house a basic Behringer 2500 setup. Was going to get the Skiff but since the CP1A power unit wasn't available individually anywhere for months and this is only £15 more I got this instead, as the CP1A is included.
Rack is surprisingly sturdy steel. No corners cut. And the angle of the base is just right for desktop use. Two included 7-point power cables very generous. No idea if this thing can actually power 14 average Eurorack modules, I guess I'll find out if I ever get sucked down the Eurorack black hole.
It would be cool if you could buy the rack unit without the CP1A included if it can comfortably power 10 modules.
Only gripe: the power adaptor is a Euro plug. Thomann threw in a UK power lead (thanks guys!) but what I needed was a clip-on adaptor. Not an issue as I just used a Euro-to-UK plug that Thomann gave me previously on a different order.
I bought this for my first modular setup. The quality is very nice, solid construction and the power switch is sturdy enough too. It has enough power for the six modules I placed in it and it holds them precisely in place. Looks good too and the price is great. Planning to buy another one for a new system.
It comes with power adapter and power module, can be used in
19" rack, standalone or on desk top. When used in rack or custom
case it can accept larger and deeper modules without problems.
Has enough current for powering all modules, even in other rack
mounts or cases.
you cannot get any better deal than this. Works fine in a regular 19 inches rackmount. Brackets, rails, power supply and 2 flying cable for this price? Unbeatable I will buy more than one for sure!
this thing does the job.
It could be vastly improved by adding a power connector at the rear, so that you did not have to have the power cable sticking out the front panel
for that kind of money, the best you can buy. but it doesn't look like a cheap product. beringer can do quality things. I use it every day without any problems.
Useful to put together a bunch of modules for a very portable solution.
The power supply is powerful enough to accomodate the requirements of the most power hungry modules.
