Seydel Harmonica disinfection bag used for a few months
Steve Musikmonger 01.07.2022
Great product. I tried to do it on the cheap but failed miserably. You can buy cheaper UV light sanitisers but generally they don’t produce the ozone that really gets into those dark corners of the harmonica.
It is a really well thought out product and I am certainly noticing the benefits after playing gigs. I don’t feel so chesty and lousy the day after.
The thing to remember about harmonicas is that you inhale not just blow so in terms of health hazard it’s far worse than any other wind instrument I can think of. You are basically sucking that bacteria laden stale air right down into the depths of the lungs and alveolar sacs. I also notice it gets rid of most harp Odour after use so this is a sign it’s doing it’s thing. It can fit a few harps and just fits nicely in my soft Thomann guitar case. The design is really good and I like the fact that it’s a rubber soft enclosure for the harms so you can push the ozone around the compartment more easily.
I see no reason at all why it shouldn’t be used for mouth pieces and other small instruments, jaws harp for example. It could also be perhaps used for second hand jewellery etc.
I can throughly recommend this product don’t skimp and try and save money when your health is at stake, it’s a false economy!
