Celestion G12H-150 Redback 16 Ohm

I was looking for a high power speaker for my Matrix NL12 cabinet. I use a 1000W Matrix GT1000FX power amp and I needed a speaker that could handle the power without creating farting sounds in the lows.

I read a lot of reviews about this speaker and I seemed this one should do the trick.

Ordered from Thomann like I always do, and received it very quickly. I installed it into my cabinet and was amazed about the sound.

Very tight, in the lows but not sterile. The highs are there but no ear pearcing icepick sounds. A bit more mids/nasal sound than the previous G12 Century I had, but it's good for getting through the mix.

I am going to order another one. This is my new go to speaker!!!

Magnífico altavoz, muy buena construcción, con unos acabados geniales y con un sonido nítido, cristalino y que va de fábula con cabezal marshall, lo he probado con un dsl, origin y con avt, y como suena...

Después de haber comprado un bafle marshall 1936 2x12 a un precio prohibitivo por el hecho de estar fabricado en Inglaterra y haberme llevado una gran decepción al descubrir que los altavoces celestion g12t-75 eran made in china y que sonaban fatal, esto es otra cosa, nada que ver. Me falta otro para tener la pareja y reemplazarlos.

En conclusión, un altavoz que merece la fama de los celestion y que no tiene nada que ver con las series fabricadas en china. Así que, mejor comprar un bafle barato y cambiarle los altavoces, ahorraras dinero y tendrás un sonido de nivel, que optar por los pseudo bafles hechos Inglaterra que está vendiendo marshall, que salvo que el contrachapado sea inglés, no entiendo porque si los altavoces son chinos, no lo indican.

Wer sich von diesem Boliden nicht abschrecken lässt (Gewicht, Belastbarkeit) bekommt den klassischen Celestion-Sound mit jedem Amp. Sogar in einer 1x12er kann dieses Monster jeden Amp ertragen. Ideal als Allroundlösung für live - kleine Box, Amp trotzdem schön laut und der Sound ist druckvoll!
Klanglich würde ich ihn zwischen G12M (vielleicht sogar dem G12H mit 55Hz) und dem V30 ansiedeln.

Ich verwende die Speaker in zwei 1x12er Boxen zusätzlich zu einem Halfstack als wer/dry/wet rig. Die wet-sounds werden druckvoll und dennoch transparent abgebildet.

Auch live mit einem 2203er Marshall ohne Powersoak (wenn die Bühne mal wieder vollgestellt ist mit Keyboards oder die 4x12er nicht ins Auto passt) klingt alles wie es soll. Druckvolke Bässe, klare aber nicht zu spitze Höhen. Alles super!

Auch zuhause bei kleinen Lautstärken klingt der Redback richtig toll. Man muss nicht denken, dass die 150 Watt nur laut können. Der Celestion-Charakter ist IMMER erkennbar und ich hab mittlerweile zuhause nur noch eine offene Palmer 1x12er mit dem Redback im Einsatz.
