You know how sometimes you will be holding a pick and it starts rotating in your hand and you end up playing with the side of the pick or one of the rounder corners? That doesn't happen with Jazz IIIs because there's only one way to hold it and no extra space to allow you to get sloppy. The tortex material keeps things nice and grippy, but nothing will prevent all slipping. I started with standard Tortex picks, then moved to Jazz III Max Grips, then on to these. I prefer the 0.73 thickness because they have just the right amount of give (very little) and to my ear they have a more immediate attack than the softer sounding Max Grips, plus the thinner picks get in between the string windings better for pick slides, which is super important.
