Dunlop Ultex Jazz III John Petrucci

Searching through the heavier and more rigid picks out there, I stumbled upon this back when released, and immediately ordered a few bags.
They've served me well for long, extended sessions of rehearsal as well as on stage.

As sturdy and reliable as this pick is, it does happen to have a small downside for me, being that the pick often slips when doing slightly angled wrist movements. Even though that might just be a concern on my behalf.

I would recommend this to anyone withOUT the tendency to get sweaty palms!

Hvis du er typen der kan få lidt svedige hænder, så er der ikke vildt meget grip i dem, derimod tøre hænder er der masser af grip.

Ganske god plekter udover det.

Every single pick i have ever owned up until i bought this, have been worn down after just one day of playing. I've played the same JP pick for a looong time now, and it doesn't have a scratch on it! They are very durable, they don't slip out of your hands when playing.

I have been using the Dunlop Ultex Jazz III JP's for about 3 years now, they are just a little larger than the normal Jazz III. They feel very smooth and the tip is just great. It is sculpted just a little, and it glides of the strings perfectly, it enhanced my playing in a great way, there is just the perfect amount of pick for me to hold onto and have a speedy tip. The grip is perfect, it is not too rough, and not too 'clean', you do not notice it much at all you just automatically hold on.

Maybe my quest for the ONE pick is over..

After I bought these picks, I've pretty much never used anything else!

They're fast, sturdy, have a nice grip and most of all, they feel and sound good. Compared to other picks I've played over the years,

I've never experienced this much resonance and tone from a single pick. Try and drop it onto a hard surface, you'll notice it chimes like a bell and it doesn't sound flat.

Over all, it's a great pick with for dynamic playing, but the tip could be a little more pointier.

Rigtig god plekter, hvis man kan lide dem tykke. grippet kan være lidt skuffende, men ik noget der er et stort problem, et par hjemmelavet dybe ridser i plekteret, løsere problemt. det er helt klart mit fortrukne plekter, og er meget glad for dem.

De er fede at spille med og man har et godt greb om disse picks.

I quite like the size and feel of it, it doesn't slip like my Dunlop Ultex or Taylor Thermex does when sweating slightly, nor does it really scratch the string audibly like especially the thermex does.

I've yet to sweat enough for grip to be an issue like others mention, but so far I'm plenty satisfied.

i have never been this accurate, and i never thought that a pick could make my playing so much smoother. Tho i will say its smaller than my other picks, so it will ofc not last as long i feel.

i play bass too, and they are NOT good for that. so use these if you play alot of hardcore lead or chugging.

Needs a bit more grip, but other then that they're great for leads and fast playing. The plasticy tip helps alot.
