The way it is build makes it great for live situations with its 8 presets you can easily switch between your sounds during songs. You can even use it as a simple chorus pedal or a slight boost.

Best octave pedal on strings
I use this for live looping with a viola, and it it's the only octave pedal I've found that will consistently track violin/viola. Unfortunately, there is a bit of latency, so you do have to learn to play slightly ahead of the beat. The sound is phenomenal though!
