Hendrix used this gauge, why wouldn't you?
The thinner gauge lower strings make the guitar much more balanced and fun to play, when you get used to them you can't go back.

Perfect for my narrow nut width Stratocaster.
I've had a 67 reissue made in Japan Stratocaster for around 30 years now and I've never been able to gel with a correct string gauge until I tried these.
The neck of the guitar is thin but in particular the nut width is small, so these lower gauge strings fit that space perfectly.
Tone wise they sound great, they don't sound weak or thin at all. I have Kinman Woodstock Plus pickups fitted in this Stratocaster and they sound very 'Jimi' especially when played into an early spec' Marshall.
