Sorry but... I tried a few on them on several amps and gear and speakers in a mastering grade room.
If I can't hear a difference in this 6-figure+ room, I doubt anyone can ACTUALLY hear a difference in a living room / stage / whatever other noisy and/or un-treated location. I even did measurements for the non believers but that was just to show my peers the results.
Really wanted to hear a difference and it was fun to try a "high end" power cable but, I suppose my power is clean enough as is. After all I have a brand new and separated breaker box in my studio.
Also, the plug didn't properly stay plugged safely in many pieces of gear whereas other, cheaper power cables had a much better grip. Just sayin'
If you buy a Glockenklang amp, you will get one of these thrown in. Glock's Hi-End cable is so good, I bought an extra one as spare.
I compared (A/B'd) this to other cables and tried it with other amps. I was surprised at how clearly my ears could detect improvements in the overall sound. The low end, mids and highs were all much clearer. Not sure you'll notice so much on a loud gig but definitely in a studio/home setting.
If you are using quality gear, make sure you use a quality cable.
I got a very expensive preamp so did not wanted to compromise on cheap power and audio cables. For the price this cable is a relatively affordable and of very high quality. No regrets.
You haven't heard the full potential of your amp till you toss that cheap (PC) power cord away and put one of these on. I have brought several. Highly recomended!
in a blind test, several people heard the difference. and at least these are thick and durable wires, a reliable connection to the mains. I would advise taking at least one to connect the main surge protector.
there is also a minus:
they are quite heavy and do not stretch the connectors much and heel the connectors.
