This was a perfect fit for my 2007 Epiphone Les Paul Standard. The nut does not only do a good job of keeping the guitar in tune (strings don't get caught as with the original plastic nut) but it also brightened up the guitar. Open strings ring out properly and overall the guitar sounds much more articulate. A big plus is that no animal parts are used in it, at least for me !
I replaced the nut on my Epiphone Les Paul and 335 and it made a hell of a difference to both guitars, great cheap upgrade to make and it will improve tone, sustain and tuning stability. Highly recommend Thomann for service. 10/10. Very happy.
Whilst the nut usually only affects the open strings I still needed a change from the poor plastic nut on my Epiphone LP standard. Needed a tiny bit of sanding to properly fit and I didn't do any filing (probably should but it works so whatever).
Noticed a difference, especially being able to feel more vibrations through the neck that were previously dampened by the plastic nut.
It's a nut, I can't write much more about it. It will marginally improve your sound, but it's still worth it.
Excellent product. It made a definite and distinct difference in tone and clarity for the better with much more transparency. Also tuning is made easier and more precise.
I replaced my 'fake graphite' nut of my Gretsch guitar. Very easy to do. I only had to trim down the sides a bit with a light sandpaper. This nut gives good tuning stability and tone.
I replaced the nut on my Epiphone Firebird Studio and it's a completely different story. I did however need a file as plain sandpaper wasn't really getting me nowhere (except for the finishing touches).
The slots are well made and there is absolutely zero buzz. It also stays in tune quite nicely.
Would recommend!
It fits my Epiphone Les Paul Standard (2008) perfectly.
The first thing I mod on any of my guitars that don't come with a graphite nut is put a GraphTech nut. I don't even question it and I don't care if I already have a bone nut. Graphite is just better. And a self lubricating graphite is the best. It helps with tuning stability immensely and it's not a big investment.
Just hitting it with your fingers already makes you feel like this thing will improve the tone of the guitar!
I swapped out the nut of my Harley Benton acoustic with this, (along with new strings, bridge pins and saddle) and it sounds glorious now. I will definitely swap all my guitar nuts with TUSQ now
Intonation / tuning issues GONE. Fret buzz gone. This nut sounds bright and full. Was relatively easy to install. With a little sanding down the sides the TUSQ XL 6060 00 fit my Kramer Assault Plus perfectly fine. Should have bought this sooner, lol. Anyway. Highly recommended!
