I needed a mic stand that isn't wobbly or too light, for use in my home studio, but am on a very low budget. This stand seemed, of all the cheaper ones, to fulfill that need.
I actually thought this was a full sized stand, but it turned out to be a half sized one. Luckily, it is exactly the right size that fits with my desk when I sit behind the computer, where I do all my stuff.
It is actually a good quality stand, with a solid base, a good arm, and it looks very good.
It comes with bright green rings (maybe even fluo) at the adjustable bits and the legs, so it is well visible in darker studios, but a baggy with black replacement rings are added in the pack, for those who want it dark. You can order any colour you like on their site for those rings, if you wish to personalize your stand.
The only possible con I see is that the connection to the (solid metal) base is tightened with a plastic bit, which might in future get a bit warped with heavy use, but I cannot say much about that yet, and that is probably not going to be any problem at all in my home studio.
I give it a tentative oevrall 5 stars, for that reason, and the four stars for quality may turn out to be 5 stars after all...
All in all a very good stand for the Thomann price of 34¤ (on their site it is 45¤)
