Harley Benton Amarok-BT EGNT Quilted Burst

With the price in mind, this guitar is a pretty good deal for what it is.

Pros:
+Stainless steel frets
+Grover locking tuners
+Hipshot style bridge
+"Spokewheel" dual action truss rod
+Good looking IMO.
+EMG pickups
Cons:
-Terrible setup out of the box (easily fixed, but still)
-Neck was severely backbowed(fixed with trussrod and patience)
-13-62 strings are way too heavy for B-standard-drop A IMO.(fine for drop G)
-Some finish flaws here and there.
-Nut was cut really badly (would not stay in tune, and uneven string height at 1st. fret)
-Bridge won't intonate in B-standard or drop A with my preferred strings 11-56 for 27"(bridge is mounted too far back, works ok-ish with 13-62, It's gets "Close enough" though with 11-56).
-Frets were gritty and dull(fixed by polishing)


All in all, not too bad for the price. I recommend D'addario 11-56 on this in B-standard, but I did have to make a shim under the nut, and cut the slots better. After some work, it's a nice guitar.

I was somewhat skeptical of Harley Benton at first, but after watching YouTube videos and reading some reviews I thought "what the heck why not" and ordered this guitar and I'm glad did. It's CRAZY how good these are for the price point. Only reason I didn't give it a higher rating is because there were some scuff marks on the guitar and neck, and some tooling marks on the fretboard, but other than that it was good. Had to do a setup on it out of the box, but that's not really an issue for me. I've had to do that to pretty much every single guitar I've ever bought no matter the price point. I definitely will be checking out other Harley Benton models for sure

I can say that I'm very satisfied with this purchase. I already own a Harley Benton Amarok Standard, so I decided to go for the baritone version as well. Compared to the first one (which is also very good and works great both live and in the studio, although I had to do a slightly more demanding setup on it), this one arrived with very few flaws. The only minor issues were with the guitar's finish (uneven lacquer) and some residue from the manufacturing process, which I easily removed with a regular cloth. The setup was already done well, so I only had to make a few small adjustments. It holds tuning well, the tuners are solid, and the nut is fine too. Even the area around the pots—which many have complained about—was well finished, with no snagging on the wood. All in all, the guitar is great, the sound is excellent—both clean and heavy. I definitely recommend it!
