The bass guitar is gorgeous to look at, and it makes me want to pick it up and play it, and that’s the main take away from this product. But there’s simply too many things askew with the product that I received. So here’s the rundown.
Frets: Lots of buzzing on multiple notes, and a few dead notes. It had 5 different frets not seated (gaps of up to 0,5 mm).
Volume/Tone knobs: 2 loose pots, meaning I had to uncap all four of them and re-tighten them.
Pickups: Weren’t fully seated/screwed in. They’re not adjustable either. The 9V battery seems to do very little in making the pickups feel active. But the sound it does pick up is quite pleasant for the Punk/Rock/Metal that I play. But there’s zero reasons not to leave the volume and tone knobs on 100%. It’s also frustrating that the pickups are wired in series, so there’s essentially zero point in four pots.
The bass required such an intensive setup from a local tech, that he charged double his usual rate.
TL:DR fit and finish barely existed, but the shape of the neck and body is really comfortable. guitar ended up with a 'hidden' 120 EUR extra cost in setup (instead of the usual 60 including strings).
