Harley Benton ST-70 Black Paisley

I have had several very nice Harley Benton guitars and a very fine bass too form this same brand. I was attracted by the Paisley look hence me ordering this one.

The guitar had a misaligned neck, misaligned pickguard and a misaligned bridge. Also the back plate was misaligned and the hind strap pin was not in center, meaning not following the center of the bridge and neck. The neck pocket was routed bigger than the neck heel.

The nut was ok. The neck feels great, not fat but rather C shape until the 7th fret and then going higher its more of a Modern C or even thin D around the 12th fret. I like that neck profile a lot! The Paisley looks great! Even though my exemplar was 4,5kg it felt VERY light for some reason. My Les Paul is about the same and feels MUCH heavier!

The pickups sound ... not so good. This was a surprise for me because I tried many Wilkinson pickups and they sounded great to my ear but not these. But these nah ...

I had higher expectation from this guitar. Sadly I had to return it.
