Harley Benton Valuestrings Bass 45-105

The strings themselves are ok and can compare to other low level strings, but the cloth winding at the end without the ball starts wat too early and cover the first half of the first fret on the E string ????????????????????????????????
That is a first for me and of cause it destroys the sound of the string completely.
Buy better strings if use use the E string on your bass - or maybe I was just unlucky ???

These sets are not for the tone chaser!

I bought these sets for a bass I was learning on, and I was not expecting the greatest thing since the price was so low. I broke the E string and needed replacement and I went straight for these for their price.

I didn't had any complaints since I was only putting them on a learning bass - Although I did not played through an amp, so I cannot tell you how they sound through an amp but don't expect the best sound.

I had read good reviews of these strings, and have always been pleasantly surprised about the Harley Benton brand, so i decided to buy a whole bunch of these.
Sadly, these did not live up to expectation. I have gone through 3-4 sets of these, and on at least 2 of them the E string has sounded dead from the start, as if it had been used before. I would suggest the Warwick strings instead. Although they cost almost twice as much, they are still cheap.

Great strings for the bass player who doesn't give a shit. These strings sound fine and are perfect for the brutal and broke player.

Efter en direkte sammenligning på min Telecasterbas fandt jeg ud af at HB strengene var hårde og usmidig at spille på. Fik rent faktisk lidt ondt i hånden. Efter at have sat et sæt Rotosound RS66LD på, var det som om jeg fik et helt andet instrument i hånden.meget mere lækker følelse og smidighed selvom det var samme strengetykkelse. Så nej, jeg kan ikke anbefale at købe disse strenge.
Lyden var egentlig god nok men spilbarheden knap så god!

Man kan ikke få noget bedre til pengene.

I think these strings are great value, and i hope that Thomann will develop further on them. I do not like paying big bucks for strings, but these simply were a bit weak sounding, so i stopped using them. I will try again some time, and see if they have improved.
But for bigeinners, thse strings are a no-brainer, such great value.

Jeg har efterhånden prøvet mange af disse strenge-sæt til mine elever, og de er meget fine - især til prisen!

These strings are extremely well made compared to the price. You obviously don't get the best high end product, but they are more than acceptable, and they are even cheaper than most sets of strings for guitar. If they made a drop-c set, I don't think I would ever buy anything else.
Totally unbeatable at this price

Hvis man er til Roto Sound roundwounds er man på sporet af en oplevelse med disse nye HB strenge, Der er en masse "Zing" i dem og nu er det bare at se hvor længe det holder. De føles også næsten som et sæt Roto's og så koster de jo næsten ingenting.
Mangler selvfølgelig også at se om de holder standarden fra sæt til sæt, men det må fremtiden vise.
