Well made and does what it says on the tin

I found it confusing to set up on Mac- not really Hotone's fault but instructions could be clearer, see e.g. app is required for device configuration but not in day to day use. The Android app required sideloading but there is a Mac App in the Apple Store. Cloud sign on request is presented on every connection but may be dismissed. Tested, including with Headrush Expression pedal, with Ableton Live 12; Reaper 7; Neural DSP Tone King Imperial MKII standalone, using both USB and bluetooth connection

Does what it should...once you finally get it working.

No Android app in Play store. I tried downloading and installing that directly from the website but that failed. I then attempted to the connect to the ontroller with an iPad. The Pulze Control app would find the device but repeatedly failed to connect. I was about to surrender but finally succeeded after about the 20th attempt. Once finally connected I was able to update the firmware and get the device working properly with no further connection issues. However, pressing the A and B switches doesn't successfully put the unit in Bluetooth pairing mode as indicated in the instructions and requires a reboot to do so. That's annoying but not a deal breaker.

It's a great tool, especially at this price point, but the product support leaves much to be desired. If you want something that works right out of the box you might look elsewhere.

Doesn't work over Bluetooth on Windows.

Doesn't work over Bluetooth. I contacted the device support in China, and they told me that supposedly my system is wrong and I need a Mac. Meanwhile, Bluetooth MIDI works perfectly fine on Windows 11 with other manufacturers. The device itself is well-made, but the situation with the driver and software is poor.

Je n'ai pas trouvé autre pédale midi pouvant se connecter en USB/BT et moins chère que la concurrence que celle-ci. Et je peux vous dire d'y aller les yeux fermés !
Le seul reproche que je peux lui faire, c'est que je n'ai pas (encore ?) réussi à la connecter en bluetooth à mon macbook. Mais en usb ça fonctionne tout aussi bien alors ce n'est pas grave pour mon utilisation.
L'application sur téléphone de configuration de la pédale est complète et intuitive !
