The interface is hassle-free (In my case, IOS). It connects right out of the box with my iPad Pro, a USB-C Macbook Pro, and an older Mac Pro with USB 3.0.
It comes with basic versions of Amplitube and Tonex, without extra plugins. Works well with Garage Band and the rest of apps like a native device.
The sound is decent when you hook it into your guitar/bass amp, considering is a 24bit/48Khz interface, but if you need higher quality, go for the HDX (pricier).
In the end, it is a good value for the money. It gives you the convenience of jamming with your IPad on the go using just a tiny device. Very happy with it.

An essential for any guitarist/bassist
Any guitarist or bassist should own one of these. The iRig USB is super easy to set up, just plug it in, install the provided the ASIO drivers and you're good to go. The controls on the device are simple and easy to use, with a simple gain control on the front and an FX/THRU toggle on the side there isn't anything to trip up on.
The bundled software almost give this a "too good to be true" value. You get plenty of amp simulators and effects with TONEX SE and AmpliTube 5 SE to play around with, and they all sound pretty great. There is a lot of value in the box.
Performance wise, it’s really solid. The ASIO drivers do their job well, there’s no noise or noticeable latency when playing, which is key if you’re recording or jamming. It comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable although I'm running it into my PC via USB-A which is working absolutely fine.
Overall, the iRig USB is a solid choice for the price if you're looking for something simple and easy to line into your phone or computer. It works great, sounds good, and the software is the icing on the cake.

A great start
I’ve loved this for at home practice as a beginner player. Definitely had a steeper learning curve on use with the bass as it took some time to figure out how to get the bass sound out for practice. The app support for Apple leaves some room for improvement but works just as well with Garage Band and Logic Pro! Went from a beginner player to being on my first album which this helped in!

Would recommend for a begginer trying to record guitar/bass!
This small and easy to use audio interface is really great for it's price. The design is sleek and functional. I was worried the cable would drag it all over the table but have not found it to be the case because of the material used. With it you also get Tonex or Amplitube CS for free! The type c cable it comes with is also of great quality. Would recommend!!
