John Pearse 160SL

I bought these to replace the factory strings on my Merida GS mini copy (also bought from Thomann).

For some reason I had the idea that the guitar had come fitted with 10s (it is a short scale guitar) so I trade up to 11s for the swap. Turns out I was mistaken and 11s on a guitar with a scale under 60 cm is not idea - it is a little flappy. But that is of no fault to the strings. I wíll say that the strings manage to sound lovely and full even at a relatively low tension.

My next set of strings for this guitar will be the same John Pearse - but 12s rather than 11s.

I am very impressed with quality of the product and the sound it produces.
