Great sounding, best feature/price ratio wavetable synth
2 wavetable oscillators... 2 layers... 60 voices polyphony... lots of effects and modulations... 4 GB of user memory... On a desktop or within a rack, you save space...
Some may complain that the "machinery" can be a bit complex... but if you want flexibility and a lot of possibilities, you need to control a lot of parameters indeed... But the learning curve is soooo rewarding. You can start simple with immediate results, and progressively grow your expertise.
Another best way to master this instrument is also passing through its free editor application on Mac's and PC's... You see everything, you click, drag and drop. Modulations moves on your screen. You open existing presets and you learn from them.
When you see that buying some advanced wavetable synths would sometimes require a very heavy budget, the Korg Modwave is not a "subset" of those synths, you get a professional grade wavetable synth from a great brand, with a lot of capabilities.
