Flatwounds!?
I got these flatwounds out of curiosity.
Mounted nicely on my P-Bass (Not String-through-body!) and has been in tune ever since I tightened/stretched the string at the tuners. I do like the sounds and the playability. The sound of the strings are somewhat more warm, dark and "woody"-sounding.
If you're looking for a modern fusion/slap/metal sound with clear highs and brilliance, these strings would be a bad choice. However, if you're into Jazz, R&B, Blues - Generally a more old-skool sound - these will more than suffice!
Personally, I'm gonna stick with these strings on the P-Bass. I will however try a higher gauge next time.

Quality strings
This thin set don´t give the Motown sound.
The wharp is made of steel why they can´t neither be compared to the Thomastick strings, which is made of nickel.
This set of strings are of its own, they are light to the fingers and have good flatwound sound.

Double bass sound
Super lyd på min båndløse jazzbas. Giver et Double Bass -artigt growl, også på E og A -strengene ! Samt dejlig bund i lyden.
