Expensive, but worth it
I always used the (almost) cheapest roundwound strings i could find, until I decided to try out some flatwounds. After some research I found La Bella as a popular brand, and decided to try them out - despite the price being pretty high, at least to me.
I never had a bass sound as good, and couldn't imagine going back to other strings. Hopefully the set will last years, in which case the price isn't really an issue.
Definately recommendable. Make sure to check out the sheet on string length though, to make sure the strings you get are suitable for the bass in question.

I love these strings.
I use these on most of my basses, and they really have that 60's, early 70's thump.
If you play with your fingers, they kinda have that motown sound, but they work really well with a pick too.
I'm probably going to use these on at least some of my basses for the rest of my life.

Bedste flats!
Jeg har brugt Labella flatwounds de sidste 15 år på både p-bas og hollowbody bas. Giver den helt rigtige oldshool baslyd og feeling. Fås ikke bedre.!

A classic
I have playee quite a few brands of flatwounds but these are my favourite. They sound great and have the right feel.
