Really soft and rich sound. I always feel like I am pressing a piece of silk, pure, soft and nice sound. I have been using it more than 10 years and it suits my expectations. This string is using by many professional and really common.
The Soloist edition was an improvement on the Larsen A normal string. Clearer
and more responsive. Unfortunately after a short time it snapped on tuning which was disappointing.
Quite simply a really beautiful sound. No 'cello is like another and you need to try different strings to see how to get the best sound from your instrument but Larsen strings are always worth trying
I bought both an A and D soloist string and I am very happy with them. It took only a few seconds to hear that these are good strings. Another thing that I like is that they keep their tuning really well even when they are completly new. It's awesome :)
Larsen and Thomastik are simply the best cello strings I have come across . I haver been using a blend of the them on stage and in the studio for about 25 years. thomastic for the C and G and Larden for the D and A, it is the classic set up. It is definitely worth spending the money on the best strings, furthermore they last incredibly well.
