Meinl TMGS-3-G Gong/TamTam Stand

I would suggest this stand (as a whole) is better suited in a location where it doesn’t need to be altered as it is awkward to set up by one person. The hangman stand would be better suited for ‘road’ use. The connectors and locking mechanisms are solid but could be improved but that would probably increase the cost. The base is incredibly sturdy although the upper tier when fully extended and holding a 32 inch gong in my experience does tend to creak a little. This is partly due to the sleeve design of the legs which is where in my view improvements could be made. The actual hangars on the top bar and the middle extension are solid.
Overall would highly recommend for holding gongs. At present I have the lower section holding a Zildjian 40 inch wind gong with the upper tier hanging a Paiste 32 sound creation. Product information provided by Meinl claims the the top section would hold a 38 inch gong but I haven’t been able to confirm this.
