The Minotaur Banjo American Eagle Banjo Strap

The Minotaur Banjo strap is a really fine looking strap. Made from real leather and a fine decorative buckle with three sparkling stones fitted, making it look like the Rhinestone Cowboy's strap. The only problem is, that it is fitted to the banjo by two metal clips and it looks as if these could cause damage to the wooden parts of the banjo after a while, caused by rubbing. I have sorted this out by using a thin leather strap threaded through the banjo head tension brackets just right of the neck, making a loop at the end to take the clip. As long as the strap is long enough to extend past the heel of the banjo, no damage can occur. Another way is to thread a longer strap from the second bracket past the neck of the banjo, all the way through all the tension brackets as far as the arm rest and connect the clips of the Minotaur banjo straps to either end

What can I say, this is a nice looking, well made product with a retro look that works really well with any banjo. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a banjo strap and as always service from Thomann (combined with a great price) make this an attractive product.

Getting a strap for a banjo can be tricky. I like using a guitar strap and long shoelace. This strap can't be used on stage on a banjo with a transducer mic. The straps makes quite a lot of noisewhen you move around. However, I use it on a banjo with a humbucker, which works as well as any strap. It has no impact on sound. It's comfortable enough, it can be difficult to find the right lenght. But it looks nice and feels sturdy.

Decent okay-ish strap

It is okay but I think you can get the one without eagle because cast on this eagle is not very good. Edges are not burnished, they are just cut and left un-dyed. In summary: It works, that's it, wont win any beauty contest.
