got these for years now, because of the gold plating, the conenctor and the solder don't oxidize. Very good!

The Neutrik-Rean NYS 373 is pretty much the only RCA plug I'm willing to buy since they will last forever in my use. I have no reasons to use any lesser product.

This model is also longer than the common cheapies to reach into recessed sockets and has adequate gripping surface to pull the plug off. It also features the renowned Neutrik's conical cable strain relief that'll grip the cable sheath properly instead of having the plug hanging off the conductors.

On a side note: this is a REAN branded connector as mentioned in the product description. REAN, to the best of my knowledge, is subsidiary of Neutrik AG who offer a line of products that are much more price-competitive than their typical "Made in Lichtenstein" range of Neutrik products (think Skoda to Volkswagen). I believe REAN is made in China, but still designed and overseen by Neutrik, so if you make no objection to your products origin then this particular phono connector comes highly recommended.

I've used dozens of types of phono leads and plugs over the years and this rates up with the best of them (as do any Neutrik plugs I've bought) , solid construction, easy to assemble, and it feels like it will survive being knocked about in a case full of leads. Good tight fit on the output and the cord grip is strong. As for sound quality, I don't really belive that most people will hear any difference in a "blind" test so won't comment on that. Over all marks out of 10:

Value: 8 (I only give a 10 if it's free!)

Finding decent RCA plugs for DIY soldering was not easy .. I ended up with these Neutrik Rean ones after buying other brands and types, and am happy to say that FINALLY I've found what I was looking for. The gold plated contacts welcome the solder, and manufacturing is pretty straight forward. i also found their grip on the female socket to be *just* right. Only con: more color coded rings would be cool to have. Otherwise: these are highly recommended.

Another plus is that the connector is gold plated which makes it corrosion resistant.
The only downside of it is that it is quite long and chunky, so if you don't have too much space around the female part of the connection, you should maybe search for other solutions.
