The ring will fit on most of the XLR plugs. Ideal if you need to temporarily label the cable. It also have a flat part for the label. The material used for this ring is kind of rubber and silicone and to make your life easier product is available in many different colours.
These rings can be fitted without unsoldering the connector. Simply unscrew the plug or socket, fit the ring and screw it back together. Note that on some non genuine connectors you will find the plug does not screw fully home so the inner part of the plug is loose in the housing.
As it is Neutrik, it also means good quality. This is an XCR ring by Neutrik and it is a very handy piece of equipment to own. The colour coding system means it is much easier to identify the cable when in a bag of cables.
this xcr ring by neutrik is a very handy piece of equipment to own. the white colour means it is much easier to identify the cable when in a box of cables. being neutrik also means good quality and these also seem to fit the newer xlr plugs.
We use a lot of multicores and I'm sick of taping the connectors and writing with a marker the number of the cable, thus leaving the connector all glued up because the paper glued tape does not hold forever.
They could make this product better if Neutrik would write numbers on them.
