More a toy than an actual instrument. But a very cool toy for fooling around and trying to hit accurate notes on fretless design (kudos to traditional string instruments musicians).
Such a fun product. Each musician will find a different way of playing this thing. With a good ear, it's surprisingly easy to play melodies on it. The construction isn't very robust, so there is risk of damage during shipping. Ours came slightly bent, but functional. I was able to open it up and re-bend the metal support rods to help correct it.
This is a fun toy to fiddle with.
It's very hard to play and make anything remotely musical with it, and it needs very thin fingers to reach the "playing strip". It's still super fun.
It for sure is a conversation starter. People seem to gravitate towards it more than they do around any other "serious" piece of gear in the studio.
It’s a fun thing to play around but if you want to use it on stage get the more expensive one. You can’t slide well as it is pretty small and it doesn’t sound smooth.
Bought this mainly for my 3 year old to make some fun music together. It feels like a toy and not an instrument. Maybe the bigger one feels sturdier. The slider itself does not feel as real quality either.
I mainly bought it for my son to have some fun and it fulfills that use case very well. My wife would disagree on that part
