Good value for money, good quality, slight limitations.

I bought this to use it as a practice headphone interface and as an attenuator for apartment level playing, and later - as a recording device.
I've tried it as a headphone interface - to my ears it works really well. I honestly prefer it to my Fryette Power Load IR (although I doubt it can compete with the Fryette Power Station as an attenuator or reamping device).
I like the analogue sound and feel, and I was surprised that I liked the Line EQ curves. I don't like IRs, but I understand they have their role in recording. For just playing - this sounds and feels a lot better to me.
The attenuator is fine. I think it could use another increment between step 4 and 5 - it was hard for me to optimize power amp levels with room volume. But it's far from unusable in that regard. Personally I don't like the Speaker EQ curves. I'll be leaving that on bypass.
I love the look of the unit (especially the colour scheme) and having a legacy brand when it comes to this type of unit was appealing to me. The only slight dislike I have here is it has a bigger physical footprint than I imagined. Not a big problem but I like the "neat and tidy" Power Load IR more in this regard.
Overall I'm happy with it - it's a useful and inspiring unit and it does a *lot* for the price.
