Rico Sax Strap Alto/ Soprano Padded

I'm using it with an Akai EWI Solo. The padded strap is very comfortable, the cord length adjustment works smoothly, and the adjustment range is a good fit for the EWI. The hook holds the EWI securely, unlike the open hook of the strap supplied by Akai. The only thing I don't like about the hook, is that the opening lever has very sharp corner, I might take some sandpaper to it.

Comfortable, inexpensive, easy adjusted, mechanism does not slip

The pad is very soft and comfortable. Adjustments are easy. I'm using it for alto and it does the job greatly. But I don't think it can be short enough for soprano, as I have a Roland Aerophone Go and it's too long for that (which I've heard needs a curved soprano sling). Otherwise, worthy of the Rico name 100%

Pros: solid quality, padding is good so it doesn't cut into my neck.

Cons: the weight of the saxophone makes the strap constrict at the throat. The hook is plastic.

Conclusion: Ok for short practice sessions, but I wouldn't play a concert with it, and never use it for anything heavier than an alto.

Best alto strap I have used. I have this for my alto sax and my Roland AE-30. Comfortable, adjustable, and stays in place. The strap becomes invisible when you play, which is exactly what I want a strap to do. It does everything a strap should, and nothing a strap should not.

To get any better than this, you would need to invest in harrness, which in my opinion, is overkill for an alto sax. In other words, this is the best alto strap money can buy.
