Great Product - Missing Size
Before buying the RTom Black Hole Practice Pad Set, I was using Silent Stroke Mesh Heads.
The main advantage of the Black Holes is straightforward: you can keep your regular drumheads on while significantly reducing noise. This allows you to switch from silent practice to a gig-ready setup in seconds. Previously, it would take me up to 30 minutes to change all the heads and retune them.
The tunability of the pads feels somewhat overengineered. Personally, I wouldn’t mind a fixed tuning option at a lower price point.
All in all, it’s a great product. I highly recommend it for gigging drummers who need a quiet practice solution in an apartment setting.
The only drawback is the absence of a second 14" pad for the snare.
