Schecter C-1 Hellraiser BCH

I have a Stratocaster HSS, a mode Bare Knuckle pick up Telecaster type and an ST type HH with Seymore Duncans. All pick ups are passive, with each guitar having its own tone and merit, but this Hellraiser? An amazingly beautiful piece of machinery where I could not find any manufacturing defects…and these active EMGs? Full-on at the top end, middle and bottom end. I can safely say that this is the best guitar I now have. One comment that Schecter should take into account is the neck finishing. Gloss is sticky compared to smooth slidey satin when running your hand up and down it. But I guess I will get used to this minor point. 9.5 / 10 therefore 🎯

I have been looking at this guitar forever as a second guitar, I rarely use money so it was a big purchase for me going from my $200 Squier I've used for a year now. Here's the thing, I might be wrong but I expect such an expensive guitar to be delivered with little to no issues, but there are some.

To start, the fretbuzz, I have no idea why but the strings were WAY too tight. I adjusted the truss rod and bridge and fixed the low and high frets to some degree but around the 7th fret it just won't go away. Again, this can probably be fixed by delivering it into a shop, but I expect not to have to do that with such an expensive guitar.

Secondly, it came with no plastic wrap around the knobs or body, like no tight plastic to peel off. I don't know if this is normal for Schecter or if I got a B-stock guitar at full price.

Other than that it is good, it sounds good, feels good, dual split humbuckers working fine and the paint is very well. I might be returning it and buying another brand to see if it will also let me down.

Manche acajou collé sur corps acajou avec table en érable.
Au niveau, du manche, y'a pas à dire, c'est agréable, ce n'est ni trop gros ni trop petit, on est vraiment à l'aise dès le départ, même les gens avec de petites mains seront à l'aise.
L'accès aux aigus est on ne peut plus aisé, les échancrures et le manche collé donnent vraiment un bon confort de jeu dans les aigus.
Au niveau du poids, c'est clair qu'il y a plus léger mais elle n'est cependant pas très lourde (moins qu'une guitare style les paul) et elle est très bien équilibrée.
