This is a fun project for someone with woodworking experience, I think someone with ikea flatpack experience will struggle as the materials, and guide is a bit substandard.
The body is a wood composite, similar to MDF but apparently better acoustic properties. For reference most cajons you would buy are either plywood or solid wood body.
The instructions provide straps and panel pins for the glue ups, the straps are impossible to get tight. I swapped to my own ratchet straps.
The panel pins were not holding the wood very well, they felt a bit to short and thin, some of them snapped so I swapped to my own wood clamps.
The guide recommended a phillips screwdriver but some of the screws were actually torx heads....again I had this type of screw tip so could work around it.
I enjoyed making it and learned a lot. I would probably try and make one from scratch next time and follow my own procedure
