The cable is hard to solder. Perhaps due to the fact that it is very hard.
It is definitely a not so flexible cable. I bought it to make some speaker cables (amp head to speakers). While I was able to screw it in the speakon connections when it came to solder it to jack it is nearly impossible.
Perhaps it is a good cable for other purposes but for mine I wouldn`t buy it again
I've used Sommer Cables quite a lot over the years. This time I needed a speaker cable to install a system in a new music venue. It had to be tough enough to survive the builders, affordable and able to provide a good quality signal to our passive speakers. It's hard to say whether one speaker cable is better than another, but I did a fair bit of reseach, compared all the specifications and this one was the best choice for me.
Nice one Sommer Cables!!
too stiff for anything other than installations really. not usuable for a live setting where it needs to be wound and unwound or flexible to fit around amps and speakers. good quality though
I laughed when I touched this.. No matter what the sound quality is or other factors. This is like a plastic pipe for refrigerator.. WAY TO STIFF Buy something else.. ANYTHING else.
