TLDR; if you want phase align fast, get it. If you have time to do it manually, don't get it but get other more useful stuff instead!
More details/opinion:
If you need fast phase alignment with only delaying one clip (plus polarity invert) it's doing a great job but it often misfires too. You can just put one of the audio few samples farther or back if want to do the same manually while listening where it sounds the best. In not every case the 100% aligned sources will sound good.
Sadly it can't do frequency specific phase alignment like the Waves InPhase can so I using that more often.
The best function in Auto Align is that you can delay your source manually within the plugin so you don't have to move it inside the project and can bypass anytime to compare.
I using it now to fastly determine the range where should I look for maximum phase alignment then opening up InPhase and setting it to according what Auto Align displayed.
