I was really happy to see a normal fret Strandberg guitar although it was supposed to be the economical line.
I have played another top line Strandberg guitars and I don't see really a difference other than the pick-ups (you can change them if you want).
The hardware is high quality and the feel of playing it is just the same as the top Strandberg guitars. I don't play with tremolo so I don't miss it.
I am happy to report that I am not disappointed with this buy.
Guitar played well and the design is obviously extremely ergonomic. The Endurneck was interesting and not weird to play. Pickups sound good enough and quite versatile with the 5-way blade. Fretwork was great and well finished. The 20" radius in combination with the fret size was definitely one of the parts I liked most.
The main negative to me was that the guitar just didn't feel like it warranted a price of €1.190. The finish on the body had dull spots which almost looked like white residue which seemed to stay, the top locking nut was sloppily mounted at an angle, pickups were covered in metal shavings and wood dust. Also had doubts about long term durability of the hardware. While the pickups were fine, at this price point it's easy to find guitars with more inspiring pickups from the big names.
If you're really keen on entering the Strandberg experience I suppose it's a good deal relative to their other guitars; however, compared to the market at large I think you can find a better guitar for the money.
