The Clarity provides (hands down in respect to TC-Electronics) a comprehensive set of precision tools, which, as simple as it may sounds, essential knowledge in your music making and supply with cruzial information in the decision-making process. Any musician/producer/audio engineer understands the importance of knowing what is happening to the sound your working on and clarity seriously does the trick. This means that, when working with audio, Clarity provides with alot of information that helps us making better and wiser choices and thus making you a better producer. Clarity can be used when you solo you tracks for viewing db, eq, stereo, LUFS and so forth.. Insted of opening window after window on your screen, Clarity is right there beside you. Yes, Clarity is a "must have" in every studio, why? because it simplyfies your workflow and vrings cruzial information everybody needs.

The Clarity M - Offers a brilliant loudness graphical display, yet fails to offer anything but stereo mode unless you want to use the plugin provided.

This is a 5.1 meter - yet it only takes STEREO inputs. To utilize the six channels needed you will need THREE stereo pair SPDIF - BNC connections which pretty much no modern sound card provides unless you are willing to purchase i.e. an extra DigiFace.

Had I known, I would have just gone with the stereo version as I assumed that ADAT in would allow it to receive multi channels (but no, it receives only stereo through optical) or encoded 5.1 signals, but alas. Disappointed and this product is outdated on purchase, save your money and buy a different product.
