I have struggled for a while to get something to properly mic the cello that did not change as the musician moved around. I have tried the AKG C411 but found the sound a bit harsh. The t-bone mic mounted before the bridge creates a warm sound. The clip itself is well made and I have found the musicians I work with have no qualms about using it.

Very good value for money and seems to be as well made as the DPA version (for the 4099)
Used it on various cello's and a couple of viols, it's seen plenty of use since I've owned it and it still looks like new.
It also fits a 4099, so probably a cost effective solution for someone who already owns the mic and just needs an additional clip.

I tried to buy this to connect a DPA 4099 to an archtop guitar as the guitar mount that DPA makes is total rubbish. this doesnt exaaaactly fit the dpa, but i just took a nail file and made the mount a tad looser and it fits right in. good solution to an age old problem :D

Nice little add on for the Ovid mic system. Fits a treat. No difficilties. Could possibly do with some extra pads to guide cable across the body, otherwise fine. Ovid mic gooseneck is perhaps a little long for this application, but nothing that a little tweeking cant sort.
