I bought these mallets with the Goldon Metallophone Model 11140. The size of the mallets seem to fit the instrument well.
They are soft for an instrument of this size and produce a very soft tone without much volume.
This is great for a quiet session and they were just what I was looking for. However, the wooden mallets that came with the instrument produces a much brighter and more clear tone, especially on the highest notes.

Meget kort i skaftet

Et længere skaft havde gjort dem mere behagelige at spille med. Ellers er de ok.
The mallets are harder than I expected. The rubber isn't quite as bouncy as I thought it would be but that's certainly no fault to Thomann, just my own expectations.
The sound is comparable to wood mallets of the same size but slightly softer. If you're looking for some variety in timbre, it's always nice to have different mallets. Can't go wrong at this price in my opinion.
For my use, and my large hands, these mallets are a bit too short.
Also the impact while hitting the key of the "Glockenspiel" appears quite soft. - I much prefer the crisper sound of my wooden mallets over the sound produced by the rubber heads of these mallets.
