Thomann TAS-180 Vintage Alto Saxophone

For $385, I wasn’t expecting much, but wow. This thing packs a punch that you aren’t going to get from the no name Asian horns all over Amazon.
Just, wow. It feels smooth under the fingers, plays well from top to bottom and the projection on this horn is fantastic.
I am truly impressed and glad I got it for a backup horn.
My only complaint, the only negative, is the finish. It looks like a nice “oil slick” type finish online, but in reality, is dog crap brown. Not a rubbed brass look, just straight up poop brown. It’s actually gross looking, to be honest. I’ll have to figure out something to do about the finish, bc I’m keeping this player of a horn.
