Thomann TR 620 S Bb-Trumpet

Very cheap instrument. My opinion is:
* Very easy to play as well G''' and higher tones but lower than C' could be worse.
* With C7 mouthpiece trumpet could sound very sharply. Soft tones are possible as well but I think it's still quite hard.
* Instrument is not heavy so it's very good to marching. And it has nest for LYRE.
Good tuning for single playing, duets and in orchestras.
After few year of playing I can say I'm very satisfied with this trumpet! And not little bit. I did good jobs at rehearsals and also concerts as a section player.
You'll recive nice case and oils.

bought for a child in order to derisk damage to my own instruments, and he's loved it. easy tone, decent access to upper register with a generic mouthpiece but slightly harsh up there. 3rd valve slide is too loose so had to get some high viscosity grease to stop it dropping under its own weight. would absolutely recommend for a beginner. the included case is adequate, but easily damaged - and it has no storage capacity for music, mutes, oil, or anything else. will be considering replacing it with suitable case/gigbag before long - but that's not a reason to not get this instrument.
also - very impressed by customer service and communications from Thomann, even though it doesn't logistically make much sense for us, will use again (and have done - on website now to order more things, and this review window popped up).

I am a beginner player but with a jazz background, so I know which notes I am looking for and in a few days I could get the notes around written C, enough to play bebop I, V cadences, with blues and bebop approach licks. of course I split a lot of notes, but it's all part of the deal, right? Embouchure isn't easy to those new to it.
To my mind, if you want to discover if the trumpet is a suitable instrument for you, then this is an ideal starter model. I am going to buy the Bach 351 Trumpet 1-1/2C mouthpiece pretty soon.
But well done Thomann! This is a major achievement, to be able to offer such a solidly good instrument for such price. It is playable, it sounds nice and is a lot of fun!
I think I might try the Thomann TAS-180 Alto Sax next, I mean, I'd be mad not to, right?
