OMG iss even better than on YouTube reviews

So I was looking for additional overdrive pedal to complement Tumnus Deluxe and this one just purely put me on my back in a couple of Judo moves, or were they some secret Danish Viking moves? Probably Axes di their thing, only Odin knows. So, anyway, its great. The silky sound and it is good with or without the boost, it shines on its own with a good delay or reverb pedals and it complements Tumnus, or should I generalize and say any Klon like overdrive. Its good looking, it has all connections on top, which helps to fit it perfectly on the modern pedalboards, and it delivers a Great sound in any possible position of these knobs. What a great Pedal! Totally did it for me!

Very versatile within some limits

(subjective): I first thought the drive sound seemed too mid-heavy, but in the mix, it is a very rich and inspiring tone. The tone knob is very responsive to it can be controlled within the known limitations of only having a single tone knob. The pedal will bite with the tone knob up high, but still retain its mid-push. It can even get a little fuzzy with the boost and the drive sides on simultaneously.
The boost side, for newbies like me, takes some getting used to. The quiet notes will stay quiet for a large amount of the boost range, but the louder ones will get louder as you increase the boost level. So I ended up having a hard time setting up the correct volume on the amp. I thought I had it set up but the loud notes overpowered the mix. My trick is to play as hard as you ever do and set the volume to where you want your loudest notes to be. Then play quiet and see how much more of a dynamic range you have and how responsive the pedal is, especially when you add in the effect of the volume or tone knob of your guitar. Also, the signal gets louder (duh) when you engage the boost side. Think of it like a single coil / humbucker volume difference. So you might feel like you have to lower the overall volume when you engage the boost side mid song. Again, boost newbie here, but it's a boost and that is what it does by definition. It makes the volume pot of your guitar very usable while retaining its tone!!
The drive side can introduce somewhat of a a ceiling for the volume increase of the added boost. It clears up beautifully with the guitar volume turned down. So, for me, it is a bit of a learning curve to know, how and when to tame or when to "use" the added dynamic range.
The writing will not be readable on a dimly lit stage.
