My new V-Stand Pro is outstanding, and I am very happy with it. It's extremely sturdy, looks great, and was delivered by Thomann very quickly.
The only surprise was that the keyboard is supported on a very slight angle, which is not mentioned in the advertising. It falls very slightly toward the keyboard player. The unimpeded floor-space for your pedals is a massive win compared to many other stands, including the Ultimate Apex which I've owned in the past. The included carry case is very high quality and the stand folds up to be very small which is great for packing in the car for gigs.
I was very happy to receive my new Ultimate V stand Pro but unfortunately I feel very disappointed when the special pin for fixing the right side arm cannot be inserted into the hole designated for it. Same thing with the pin of the left side leg also cannot be fully inserted in its hole maybe something blocked the way inside..!
Also the right side tube does not move back correctly. Like the left side. I tried to solve the problem, but unfortunately I couldn't
In addition, I feel that all the joints of the stand are weak and loose, and it is difficult for me to place an expensive keyboard on this stand. I bought this stand 7 years ago and it was of excellent quality at the time, but now I have bought it a second time, but it is completely different and I feel that it is a cheap type and does not deserve more than just two stars.
I was excited about this stand. After unboxing it, I found that the holes that were drilled to hold the security pin did not align. Not a dealbreaker. Next: with little pressure, I close the height-adjustable clamp and I was shocked how easily it snapped off, breaking the metal in two pieces. I know quite a bit about metal and looking how it broke I can say this is some pretty cheap metal. Ok, I can still use it at its lowest setting I thought. After all the setup I found it quite wobbly and while I briefly tried it, I didn't trust it enough to put an expensive instrument on it out of fear something else might go wrong.
I love the shape and size and wish it was better quality. The end.
Pozdrav,
Dok je Njemačka proizvodila Ultimate bio je perfektan, extra stalak jer sam imao Made in Germany, posle Kina nula bodova, nešto naj lošije sto se moglo napraviti..
This is by far the best keyboard stand solution, when space room is limited and transportation is a key feature. It is very robust, all materials are excellent, and can hold my NI Kontrol S49 without any problems. Highly recommended! Looking forward to add second tier to see what happens then...
Very sturdy, strong stand, that every musician values.
It looks as it is not stable, but it is well balanced. It looks awesome on the stage, and it is practical.
With additional tier it can hold 2 keyboards. Overall manufacturing is excellent.
The only drawback that I could find is the price, that could be lower, but one has to pay for quality it seems.
The V stand Pro is an improvement on the previous version. All the fittings are well made and solid. The stand is easy to transport thanks to the included gig bag, and it is easy to set up and break down again.
The locking pins for the legs are a nice touch, and it's good that they are attached to the stand with a retaining wire. Pity they didn't do the same for the upper arm pins. They are not attached and could easily get lost on a dark stage.
Other than that, the V stand Pro is a solid piece of professional kit, and I look forward to using it for many years.
I really like the for factor of the VS-88B.
It looks very sharp and i don't stumble on the legs as much as I did with my previous stand.
It's very stable: I'm using it for a Roli Seaboard and an Apple Cinema Display.
I had some issues with adjusting it, some parts were hard to move, so I'm glad this is for my studio and not for live use.
