I know how difficult it is to decide on such a heavy product. It's not something you just send back after having tried it... that's why I made this video on YouTube in which I share my thoughts and many tips:
it helps other potential buyers to be better informed.
Conclusion: suited for many applications but not all. Don't expect perfect acoustics. You need to know how to do subtractive EQ to compensate for the slight comb-filtering caused by the small interior. It is manageable though. I really get good results for voice-over recordings when using the Neumann TLM102 at very close distance. That way you can minimze the reflections. So make sure your mic can at least handle 140dB SPL
(I record voice overs for children's picture books)
If you are looking for a high end acoustics to do dubbing for feature films, this is not for you. If you are looking for an affordable solution to record voice-overs or vocals for popular music and not have to worry about traffic or other surrounding noise, this is for you. It might also be suited for cartoon voice-acting if you have a mic with very high SPL.
I would recommend this product. I use it almost daily and could not do my work without it due to traffic noise in my street.
