Warm Audio WA-19B

First one i’ve received had something loose inside, could serve as expensive maracas. Sent it back, second came in and it had a loose low cut filter ring. Last thing you want is having rattling noise in printed track from resonating loose ring. Third one came in with both problems mentioned above- maracas with loose ring. Its pity, i really like mic itself, nice sound, neat design but unfortunately i’ll be sending third one back, three chances is enough to clear possibility of accidental assembly mistake.

Compared to original. This one seems to pick up a little more room, or maybe that’s just because it’s a little brighter. As a mic it’s a really different kind of sound. Crusty is the first that comes to my mind. Really cool on amps, overhead and snare. Even though on snare I found it lacked a bit of body most of the times.
