Upgraded EP Booster
Pro:
- 20dB of gain is enough for everything from a subtle solo boost to pushing your tubes into full-on overdrive
- 4 external trim pots: high cut, hi mid boost, low mid boost, bass boost
- true or buffered bypass (internal control)
- add headroom by supplying up to 18V
- sturdy, solid construction
- miniature format lets you squeeze it onto a tight pedalboard
Con:
- tiny gain control
- most of its dB range is found before the 9 o'clock position (roughly equal to the 16 dB of the super clean)
If you're looking for a booster, look no further. If you want enough gain to go into overdrive, pick the super sweet. If you prefer a less sensitive gain pot, go for the super clean.

Always on, a fat and rounded sound
It's a wonderful pedal: it's been always on since I put it on my pedalboard. It works best with single coils, fattening the sound and bringing it closer to crisp without distorting. The possibility of modifying the equalisation with the lateral switches (no need to open it) is an outstanding feature.

Great but..
It's not for everyone I guess. Gotta try it for yourself but for me it wasn't making much difference in tone on lower gain settings to justify the spendings.
On higher gain settings it was just too loud (rehearsal space).
And it didn't really work that great with my Suhr Eclipse when gain cranked above 12 o'clock.
Not something I was looking for but surely a great product!
100% Recommend trying.

What a great booster!
I bought this to go with my Xotic EP booster I bought prior, which I intended as using as my only Booster pedal..but after purchasing it I did as most seem to do with it and use it as an 'always on' pedal...For me, the EP booster sounds phenomenal as an 'always on' pedal paired with my Marshall JTM amplifier (Jimmy Page knew this)...But this left me without having that additional boost option, hence the need for the Xotic Super Sweet.
The Super Sweet adds zero colour to your tone, unlike the EP booster which does. The 20db of volume gain is immense from this pedal and more than most will ever need to get their valve amps raging.
The added EQ switches on the side of it are a great edition to it and easy to access.
It's also built like a tank and has a small footprint.
I can highly recommend this product!
