Softer sound hats, great for recordings
I bought these to try in a recording environment as my 15" Raw hihats were too sharp and present and they've done the trick pretty well. I prefer the tightly to moderately closed sound over the wide open sound, but that isn't to say it won't have its place.
I think the worst thing I can say about them is that the finish will have you cleaning them regularly as they mark easily.
Their sound is almost like it's well compressed with a lean towards higher frequencies, its out of the way of vocals and guitars which in most scenarios is a bonus
