Audio-Technica AT4040

By knowing I mean that if one doesn't know how to place it and if ones room's top end is not treated, it can sound harsh in the upper mids and top end. The lower mids and low end sound great, with a bit of warm character, and it responds well to eq. I own a stereo pair and use them for piano, acoustic guitar (Ortf works wonders), alto- and male vocals etc. It sounds very nice coupled with the right preamp.
