Jeg bestilte den her bridge pickup, installerede den, og for satan. Det er den bedste bridge pickup jeg har hørt længe. Masser er af smæk på, tele-twang og det bedste er at man kan høre hver en streng.
As usual delivery was fast and precise. As I had read some other online reviews of Bare Knuckle pickups I wanted to try and see if I could modify my Harley Benton Tele kit into a real rock beast. The original pu’s were okay for the low budget but a little anemic so it would be an improvement anyway!
> After a simple installation and some soldering I plugged it in and tried some dirty sounds on an older 40-watt vox modeling amp (also from Thomann way back!).
> Lo and behold, the somewhat weak tele sprung into downtuned (low c standard) growling and really gave my axe and amp a nice, dark stoner/doom/disto vibe. Would love to try this on a more expensive heavy rig!
> Don’t expect the pu to retain many tele qualities, hardly any ‘twang’ is left and the highend is a bit muddled but if you want lowend growl and girth give these a spin!!
It’s a well made pickup. However it’s not for dynamic playing at all. If you are into high gain non-dynamic playing where flat out signal is needed, then yes. If you want more dynamics then turning down volume and tone will NOT help you get it ! Try a lower gain option instead.
Replaced the stock pup on my US Tele as I prefer a hotter output than the standard. This is absolutely perfect: cleans up when you back off and howls when you dig in. With the right neck pickup, I can now play everything from Khruangbin to All Pigs Must Die on the same guitar, which is nothing short of extraordinary.
